How it works
- In Oct 2025 Pieter Levels complained about fake MRR screenshots; Marc Lou opened Cursor and had a first version in about six hours
- Founders paste a read-only Stripe key, and the site computes revenue and MRR and ranks them publicly
- Revenue started with sponsor ad spots, priced from $299 and raised step by step to $1,499 a month
- When the leaderboard faded after a month, he added a marketplace for buying startups and, from Jan 2026, a 3% finder fee
- By Oct 2026 about 200 acquisitions had closed, with around 250,000 unique visitors a month
